Seneca EIS Portfolio Company achieves £1m sales

Seneca EIS Portfolio Company Rockar, which is pioneering new sales methods and trading from one of the UK’s busiest shopping malls, has achieved £1m turnover in its first five months.

The company partnered with Hyundai to take a retail outlet in the Bluewater shopping mall, Kent. Though it still has some way to go if it is to meet its £9m sales target for the first year, boss Simon Dixon reports that its first three months saw 62,000 visitors, a figure beating that for Hyundai’s entire UK retailer network over the period.

Other figures he gives look equally impressive: a 92% conversion rate to the brand, and 72% of customers saying they would otherwise have bought second-hand. Almost half of all buyers part-exchanged their old car as part of the deal.
