My Parcel Delivery announces £2m funding package

Seneca portfolio company My Parcel Delivery has announced a £2m funding package. Seneca supported the round via its EIS Portfolio Service. The cash boost is in addition to the £1.5m already secured for the Trafford-based parcel delivery comparison website in 2014.

The funding will be used to support the development and launch of Electio, a brand new delivery management SaaS platform for the retail industry and to strengthen the My Parcel Delivery website, which was re-launched in March this year.

David Grimes, CEO of the newly formed MPD Group, said: “The journey I’ve been on since first establishing My Parcel Delivery in 2010 has been an exciting one and I’m very much looking forward to the next chapter of our growth as we diversify into new markets with our market leading technology platform.”
