Gear4Music sales up 40 per cent

Sales have grown by more than 40 per cent at York-headquartered musical instrument retailer Gear4Music, boosted by strong growth in the UK and Europe. In a trading update, the company has reported sales of £34.6m for the four months from 1 September 2017 to 31 December 2017, up 42 per cent from £24.4m in the same period of 2016.

Chief executive Andrew Wass commented: “Growth in our more established UK market has remained strong alongside very strong growth in our international markets which are being further driven by an improved delivery proposition as we continue to scale up our European hubs.”
