FreeAgent bucks trend by going ahead with IPO

FreeAgent, a UK start-up that provides accounting software to small businesses, is pressing ahead with plans for an initial public offering despite a sharp drop in the number of companies planning to float in London.

Edinburgh-based FreeAgent, which designs cloud-based software products and mobile apps for companies with fewer than 10 employees, is set to announce its intention to float on the London Stock Exchange on Monday.
